Reflection of the Week
Happy Friday, all!
This week marks a milestone I’m both humbled and thrilled to share—Episode 100 of the Mission Driven Business podcast. What started as a small idea to spotlight conversations around profit and purpose has now grown into a rich archive of stories, wisdom, and truth-telling from some of the most generous people I know.
As I recorded this episode, reflecting on 10 standout conversations that changed my business and my life, I kept coming back to one word: gratitude. Gratitude for the guests who’ve shown up with courage and insight. Gratitude for you, the listeners, who’ve taken these ideas and put them into practice. And gratitude for the chance to keep asking questions, listening with care, and learning out loud.
Each featured episode in this retrospective represents a turning point—not just for the podcast, but for how I’ve come to understand business as a tool for liberation and alignment. Here are a few of the top 10:
- I open up about my own mission-driven journey in Episode 8.
- River Nice reminded us in Episode 20 how deeply empathy matters when talking about money—especially in LGBTQ+ and marginalized communities.
- In Episode 69, LaSean Smith advised new entrepreneurs to have 100 conversations to build a business that people actually want to use.
These aren’t just episodes. They’re anchor points. Each one helped me come back to what matters most in my own journey: building something that’s both profitable and profoundly personal.
If you’ve been along for the ride—thank you. And if you’re newer to the show, I hope this episode serves as a guided tour of the values that keep this podcast going.
I’d love to know: What’s been your favorite episode so far? Drop me a note or DM—I want to hear what resonated.

- What would your own “Episode 100” look like—what themes, people, or lessons would you celebrate?
Tool of the Week
Instead of sharing a new app or book, I’m inviting you to revisit your favorite episode of the Mission Driven Business podcast. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, there’s always something new to catch—and I’d love to hear what sticks with you this time.
Best,
Brian
