Happy Thanksgiving! Can’t believe this is the third Thanksgiving for my blog. Time has flown by. As always, I want to share what I’m thankful for.
It’s been quite the year for me. Instead of blogging as a side gig, I’m now using the blog and my love of personal finance to build a business. I’ve spent the last four months learning the highs and lows of being my own boss. And they’ve been mostly highs!
I’ve created my own schedule, learned how to market and sell my services and seen the seeds of my labor turn into clients. I’ve also had the ability to sleep more, workout more and discovered more about myself than I ever thought I would.
Of course, I’ve had frustrating moments of not getting respect as a small business and worry of making enough money to get through this first year. But overall, I’m extremely thankful to have this opportunity.
I’m especially thankful for my family, friends, clients and readers who have been so supportive. You read my content, share my success and provide reassurance when I need it most. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for your encouragement.
And to my amazing husband, who takes the brunt of dealing with the ups and downs of this learning curve, yet still finds moments to tell me how proud he is of me. I don’t deserve you and am super thankful that I have you.
Happy Turkey Day to you all! I hope you take some time to reflect on what you’re grateful for. To those of you that don’t get to hang out your biological family this weekend because of fraught relationships, distance or other circumstance, I hope you have your chosen family around to give you love.
