Reflection of the Week
Happy Friday, all!
It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve written, and for a very good reason: I got married!
Taking this time to step away from my business and celebrate such a personal, joyful milestone gave me space to reflect on what matters most. As I return, I feel more connected than ever to the values that guide both my life and work: alignment, authenticity, connection, and freedom.
One thing I feel deep gratitude for is the ability to live a life that is open, honest, and out. That wasn’t always the case. There were times when my personal life and professional mission felt like they existed in separate lanes. But I’ve come to learn that real impact happens when we let those pieces converge. The alignment I feel in both marriage and business is not accidental—it’s intentional, and it’s powerful.
Of course, none of this was guaranteed. When I started my business nine years ago, I was married to someone else. I was building a company that served LGBTQ+ couples, but my own relationship was shifting underneath the surface. If you had told me back then what my life would look like now, I never could have imagined it. And that’s the thing about both life and business: you can plan, you can strategize, but you can never fully know.
This journey has reminded me of the importance of staying open to what’s unfolding—even (especially) when it doesn’t match the original vision. Sometimes, uncertainty is where the most meaningful transformation begins.
One more thing: This was the first time I didn’t check my email while I was away. And guess what? Everything was fine. Celebration and pause matter. My business exists not only to make an impact but also to create a great life—for me, for my family, and for the people I serve. Both can be true.
So whether you’re in a season of joy, transition, or simply showing up every day to build something that reflects who you are—I’m with you. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Questions of the Week
1. Where in your business or life are you craving more alignment?
2. What would it look like to honor your full truth—even if it disrupts the plan?
3. How can you celebrate a recent win, big or small, in a way that feels freeing?
Tool of the Week
No tool this week—just joy. If you’d like to see some photos and sweet moments from the wedding, you can head over to my Instagram and take a peek. Thanks for celebrating with me in spirit!
